Most people have at least one mobile phone these days. They are signed up to a contract with a Telco which has provided them with a new mobile phone and either a set amount of calls or discounted call rate over a contracted period of time (24 months usually). We think little of signing a contract as we may (rightly or wrongly) believe it is a necessity of life and we will always have one.
Why is then is it hard to convince business in 2016 that a Point of Sale System is a necessity and it makes sense to spread the cost of it over a period of time? It’s not. It is always something that they will have to have and budgeting would be easier with a fixed monthly bill. Most time when we ask the question “Is it something that you will always need?” we see the penny drop, the face becomes more relaxed and they concentrate more on getting the system they need more so than trying simply to get the cheapest available system. Once the thought of spending a large (relative term) amount of capital is removed, we find they do actually end up with a better result than they anticipated.
What happens when the contract runs out? Do I have to give it back? Well, you can upgrade the entire system for typically the same or smaller monthly cost or continue to use the old equipment usually.
Does Electronic Business Equipment provide fixed price contracts for equipment? Yes we do. We use local finance brokers to provide the best possible solutions to get the equipment you need to effectively run your business.
Products like Swiftpos Lite are specifically designed to provide the business with a high featured Point of Sale Solution at a fixed monthly rate. For as little as $79 (ex GST) per month you can have a full featured POS System Software that rivals any product available at the multitude of app stores around the globe.
Swiftpos Lite is designed and produced locally in Brisbane so you know that help and support is close to hand. It is not a cloud based system provided from servers on the other side of the world.
So when is a monthly contract not a good idea? Very few situations provide a good reason not to switch to monthly costed POS system. The usual road block to this is that the business is for sale and will most likely change hands in the next 6-12 months. New owners do not necessarily like taking over contracts. Having a new sparkling POS system can be enough to give the edge in a sale.
